The ups and downs of Snakes & Ladders...

In another look at the broadcasters' successes and failures over the last year, we have likened their schedules to a game of snakes & ladders.

This light-hearted analysis also has a serious message and shows that a channel is only as successful as the programmes that make it up.

In the case of BBC1 we saw some solid ladder climbing from Waterloo Road and Hustle but these were offset somewhat by snakes in The Green Green Grass and Hope Springs.
