TOKYO / BRISTOL, UK, 24/07/25: Digital i is pleased to announce the official launch of SoDA in the Japanese market, through a strategic partnership with Video Research, Japan’s leading audience measurement and media research operator.

Tokyo-based Video Research will act as Digital i’s official distributor for Streaming on Demand Analytics (SoDA) data within Japan.

SoDA is Digital i’s proprietary product for measuring viewing to subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) platforms, including Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and Prime Video.

Digital i’s SoDA service measures programme-level streaming viewing data on all devices in 20 markets across four continents; including the U.S., Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, The Netherlands, Poland, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Australia, South Korea and Japan.

The collaboration between Digital i and Video Research marks a significant step towards providing a more comprehensive understanding of audience behaviour and viewing patterns on major streaming platforms in Japan and the global stage.

Japanese media companies will be able to access comprehensive local and global data and insights, enhancing their strategic decision-making.
